These events are offered in partnership with Urban Roots, Urban Oasis, First Lutheran Church, Heavenly Day Cafe and the Women’s Environmental Institute. Homemade soup and bread will be served! The cost to attend is $5 per evening.

Tuesday, April 7 – Fed Up (6:00 – 8:30 PM)

You are what you eat. Why are American’s sicker and heavier than ever before? Narrated by Katie Couric, the film Fed Up uncovers why, despite media attention, the public’s fascination with appearance, and government policies to combat childhood obesity-generations of American children will now live shorter lives than their parents did.

After the film, interact with our youth interns and community members in a lively discussion of the film. Please RSVP through Community Education.

Tuesday, April 21 – Growing Twin Cities (6:00 – 8:30 PM)

Twin Cities’ restaurants and organizations alike have a growing commitment to the farm-to-table movement, not only because the food is better, it can be a powerful economic engine in our communities.
