DESCRIPTION:• Purchase Tickets • The Art of Reconciliation is a performing arts company dedicated to raising awareness of social challenges through performance\, education\, and action\, inspiring support for the work of reconciliation\, restoration\, and healing. For each of their shows\, they partner with a local organization doing work that connects to a theme found in the show. Urban Roots was chosen as the partner for this summer’s production of The Secret Garden\, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.\n\n\n\n\nThis compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s 1911 novel is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman. Orphaned in India\, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered\, reclusive uncle Archibald and his bedridden son Colin.  The garden serves as a place of healing and transformation for the characters in the story as they participate in the rebirth of spring.  Presented in arrangement with Concord Theatricals.\n\n\n\n\nThis show is appropriate for all ages and will partner with Urban Roots\, a Saint Paul organization whose mission is to cultivate and empower youth through nature\, healthy food\, and community.\n → Urban Roots will be hosting a pop-up farmers market at the July 24th show. We will also be tabling at the performance on July 27th.\n\n\n\n\nTickets are sliding scale\, so you can choose a price point that fits your budget while supporting the performing arts in our community.\n$20/$30/$40\n\nPerformances will be at Elision Playhouse in Crystal\, MN July 17\, 18\, 19\, 24\, 25\, 26 @ 7pm and July 20\, 27 @ 2pm.\nwww.theartofreconciliation.com
