DESCRIPTION:For the 6th year in a row\, we’re inviting you to a bash at our largest food growing site (which also has an interesting history). \nThe Rivoli Bluff Farm and Restoration Site includes vegetable growing plots\, beehives\, a gravel bed tree nursery\, community gardens\, fruit trees\, an Indigenous Medicine Garden\, and a Children’s Garden. \nWe hope to see you on September 12 for a fun\, open house-style event including: \n\nFree produce giveaway supported by Xcel Energy for their Day of Service\nFree backpacks with school supplies from Greater Twin Cities United Way\nThe Free Book Buggie (11am-1pm)\nTiny Footprint Coffee samples\nFarm tours\nDJ Kool Akiem\nChildren’s Garden activities\, including free face painting provided by A Touch of Magic Entertainment\nBeautiful views of our gardens and downtown St. Paul\nCommunity organization information tables\, including:\n\nFace2Face\nMetro Food Justice Network\nMSP LTER\nPatagonia St. Paul\nSt. Paul Public Library/Metro State Library\nTrilingua Cinema\nTwin Cities Habitat for Humanity\nWakan Tipi Awanyankapi\nWilderness Inquiry\n\n\n\nPlease note that this event takes place on a working urban farm site with uneven\, unpaved ground. A portable toilet is available onsite. The event is free to attend\, but pre-registration through this site is appreciated so we know how many people to expect.
