DESCRIPTION:• Purchase Tickets • The Art of Reconciliation is a performing arts company dedicated to raising awareness of social challenges through performance\, education\, and action\, inspiring support for the work of reconciliation\, restoration\, and healing. For each of their shows\, they partner with a local organization doing work that connects to a theme found in the show. Urban Roots was chosen as the partner for this summer’s production of The Secret Garden\, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.\n\n\n\n\nThis compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s 1911 novel is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman. Orphaned in India\, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered\, reclusive uncle Archibald and his bedridden son Colin.  The garden serves as a place of healing and transformation for the characters in the story as they participate in the rebirth of spring.  Presented in arrangement with Concord Theatricals.\n\n\n\n\nThis show is appropriate for all ages and will partner with Urban Roots\, a Saint Paul organization whose mission is to cultivate and empower youth through nature\, healthy food\, and community.\n → Urban Roots will be hosting a pop-up farmers market at the July 24th show. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Wilderness Inquiry and Queermunity\nSponsored by Minnesota Lakes and Rivers \nThe LGBTQ+ Outdoor Experience Recreation Fair is a free\, public event celebrating outdoor activities\, wellness\, and recreation within the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. This one-day fair will feature door raffle giveaways\, vendor booths\, a free gear swap\, and guided activities focused on promoting outdoor experiences\, inclusive recreation\, as well as physical and mental well-being. Learn more about local opportunities for nature adventures\, canoeing day trips\, queer sports leagues\, hiking\, gardening\, forest bathing\, and more! The event provides a welcoming\, safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to engage with outdoor offerings\, learn about new activities\, and connect with others who share similar interests. \n\nParking and Transit Info\nStreet Parking: Park on or south of 31st St.\, on Holmes\, Humboldt\, or Irving Ave. There’s usually ample free or metered street parking within a block of Queermunity. Meters are $2/hour. \nRamp Parking: We offer discounted parking validation for 7 Points ramp at Hennepin and 31st\, behind the mall across from Queermunity. Enter from Lake Street or 31st. Validation stickers are 2 hours for $3\, and anything over 2 hours is $6. Park in the lot and purchase your sticker at the cafe. \nADA Parking: Vehicles with disability plates or certificates can park for free in the surface lot next to 7 Points Ramp (entrance off 31st St.) as well as most meters on 31st St. These spots are about 100 ft. from the Queermunity front door. \nPublic Transportation: We are just a few blocks south of the Uptown Transit Station\, which is serviced by these routes: 6\, 12\, 17\, 21\, 23\, 53\, 114\, 115\, & 612. The trail follows an old railroad corridor and runs close to 7 miles long from St Paul to Gem Lake. Help clean up our neighborhoods and this awesome trail.
