Nov 13: The Online Giving Event of the Year
Every day Urban Roots is changing the way local youth think about food, the environment and their community. We employed 60 local teens this year through our Garden, Cooking/Nutrition and Conservation Program youth internships and taught more than 1,500 children and parents about healthy eating, gardening and environmental stewardship.
Give to the Max Day is Thursday, November 13 and Urban Roots received $1,000 in matching gifts! Every new or increased donation you make up to $1,000 is not only matched, it also gives us a chance to win even more money through GiveMN.org’s “golden ticket” $1,000 random giveaways, matching gifts and drawings for participating groups to receive extra donations.
Throughout the 24 hours of November 13th, we will collect online gifts to support our work to build vibrant and healthy communities through food, conservation and youth development. Don’t want to wait until November 13? You can also schedule your donation starting November 1!
