Youth Intern Cooking Competition

This week our Cooking Crew celebrated the end of another successful academic session. After a session of teaching cooking and wellness classes to the community, we ended our season with a cooking competition. The challenge? To make the tastiest and most unique fruit pizza. The youth interns rose to the occasion!

Using many different types of fruit (and having some serious fun with food coloring), our interns created some beautiful and delicious fruit pizzas. One team created a colorful underwater scene complete with a shark with fangs. The competing team opted for a festive Easter design.

The judges were divided on a winner because each group did different things really well. Ultimately, everyone decided it didn’t matter who won because everything was delicious and looked amazing. Plus, we were all reminded that fruit pizza is a fun way to incorporate more fruit into your diet!
