The harvest continues…Urban Roots 2015-16 Winter Markets
Mill City Farmers Market will be having monthly Indoor Markets every SECOND SATURDAY from November to April, 10 am to 1 pm inside the Mill City Museum! Check out the link for more information: http://millcityfarmersmarket.org/visit/winter-markets/
The market runs through April with rotations of interesting vendors featuring storage crops, meats, cheeses and other artisan goods. Urban Roots will be selling at the market on these dates:
NOV 2015: 14th & 21st
DEC 2015: 12th & 19th
JAN 2016: 9th
With a very warm fall season and lack of hard frost yet to hit the city we still have plenty of fresh greens like kale and chard along with fresh herbs such as parsley, cilantro & thyme out in our production sites. We also have a good selection of storage crops such as beets, carrots, turnips, celeriac, watermelon radishes, shallots, leeks and more that we will be selling throughout the season at the market and in our Seasonal Holiday Share, we plan to feature fresh vegetables until we sell out! We will also be selling our limited supply canned goods as we get closer to the holidays, this year we made roasted tomatillo salsa, spiced apple butter and huckleberry jam (bold, delicious jam!). Come on by the Mill City Farmers Market to stock up on your storage crops and holiday entertaining goods, the Market Garden Crew will be selling at the booth and passing out delicious samples. We also have a couple Seasonal Holiday Shares still available for purchase: https://urbanrootsmn.org/2015/11/03/urban-roots-seasonal-holiday-shares-for-sale/
