The Elements of Good Cooking: Salt, Acid, Fat, & Heat

Drawing heavily from Samin Nosrat’s studies, students will be able to identify the different components of cooking (salt, fat, acid, and heat), and understand how these components’ functions are foundational to cooking.

Time: 1-hour lesson, and additional time according to at-home cooking experiments
Ages: 10-15
