Help Create a Nature Preserve in Saint Paul
Calling all outdoor volunteers! Green River Greening needs your help on Saturday, October 11 from 8:30am-12:30pm.
Urban Roots youth interns are just a few of the volunteers coming together in October to turn a former railroad site into a 42-acre nature sanctuary.
Not yet open to the public, Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary will provide prairie, savanna, maple-basswood forest and wetlands to the heart of the city.
Great River Greening is trying to gather 100 restoration volunteers to help with this undertaking. Light breakfast, snack and lunch is provided to volunteers. The address is 169 Jenks Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55117.
Pre-registrtation with the organization is required. Sign up online or contact Jen Kader at jkader@greatrivergreening.org or call (651) 665-9500, extension 11.
